Kickboxing

All the classes are Freestyle Kickboxing, free from traditional kata’s and sets. Aero-kick kickboxing is a no nonsense combat system applying the technique of a competent boxers upper half and a technically adept martial artists lower half, resulting in an effective fighter/ martial artist. We no longer teach semi contact but teach light/continuous contact, full contact kickboxing using above and below the waist kicking disciplines. Training within the sport can give the practitioner a strong self belief and confidence to compete. This is not compulsory but optional. Athletic enjoyment is a guarantee at a rate you’ll enjoy with all the positive outcomes to boot.

Students must have the consistency of attending classes in order to be put forward for a grade. The purpose of a grade is for the examiner to assess and evaluate the progress of the student over a period of time. Once you are a member with Aerokick you are issued with a Kickboxing Syllabus which outlines all the techniques under a different coloured belt system, ranging from the basic fundamentals of the sport to the advanced. Whilst being graded this is the only time the student will not be shown or demonstrated to, as the whole grading process is strictly verbal. Not only will the student be judged on their physical ability but also their wider understanding of their technique and knowledge of the sport by a question and answer session. The pass mark is given as a percentage. The higher the percentage the more impressive the performance of the student.
